Humble Beginnings in Yeonsan-dong, Busan

The story of BGN Eye Clinic, now located in the iconic Lotte World Tower, began with a modest clinic in Yeonsan-dong, Busan.

With a strong commitment to eye health — from vision correction to cataract surgery — our journey started when Dr. Se-Kwang Park, former professor at Kosin University, recognized the future potential of vision correction surgery and opened a small-scale clinic to pursue that vision.

Established as Busan's Leading Eye Clinic

Since opening our Busan Lotte branch in 2005, BGN Eye Clinic has led the way in advanced vision correction, introducing cutting-edge technology that was groundbreaking at the time.

In 2007, as patient trust grew, we launched one of the first Customer Experience Teams in the medical field — driven by the belief that every moment, from consultation to recovery, should feel truly valuable. This wasn't just innovation in treatment — it was a new standard in patient care.

2010: A Decade of Growth and Bold Expansion

Celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2010, BGN Eye Clinic took a bold leap forward by expanding into Gangnam, Korea's most competitive medical district — becoming the first in Asia to introduce SMILE LASIK with the VISUMAX system. Despite initial skepticism, BGN's pioneering spirit pushed boundaries beyond Busan, earning nationwide recognition. Driven by this spirit of innovation, we made history as the fastest eye clinic in Korea to reach 100,000 cumulative vision correction surgeries.

BGN — A Global Leader in Vision Correction

In 2011, BGN Eye Clinic began a strategic partnership with AIER Eye Hospital in China, offering surgical consulting and sharing our expertise in vision correction.

Since then, AIER has grown into a global medical powerhouse, operating over 500 clinics in China and 100 overseas.
Through an official MOU to establish a joint LASIK center, BGN cemented its position as a global leader in refractive surgery. By rapidly introducing advanced procedures like iLASIK, iFit LASEK, and All-Laser LASEK, BGN continues to set new global standards — far beyond Korea.

Established in Korea's Tallest Skyscraper, Lotte World Tower

Building on the success of our Gangnam Kyobo Tower and Busan locations, BGN Eye Clinic took a bold new leap forward by moving into the 11th floor of Korea's tallest building, Lotte World Tower.

This grand opening marked not just an expansion, but a symbolic milestone — signaling BGN's entry onto the global stage as a leader in vision correction. Located in one of the country's most iconic landmarks, BGN's presence stands as a testament to our cutting-edge technology and unwavering trust.
